FRequently Asked Questions.
C: Every now and again I get a split at the last joint. Between yesterday and today I now have 4. That's half of my fingers in tape! Any suggestions? I moisturize infrequently and sand semi regularly.
R: Best practice is to file down your creases slowly (so as to not build up too much heat) with an 80-100 grit file. There should be a depression between your pads and your crease. If not, the crease will act like a fault line and crack and then rip under tension. You can then use a product like Rhino Spit just before climbing to increase elasticity. Or you can use Performance cream if you need more durable skin.
Healing Finger Tips
C: Is there superior product for helping skin heal fast on finger tips?
R: Justin from Rhino here. Our Repair cream will help you recover quick. The best practice is to make your skin more durable. If you have sweaty skin try performance cream. It is a skin conditioner that helps your skin sweat less an recover faster.
C: What is your return policy?
R: Rhino Stands behind our product. If you have an issue or would like to return your unused product please contact CustomerService@RhinoSkinSolutions.com. We will send you a replacement product and return authorization or refund if necessary.
Storing my product
C: How should I store my Rhino product?
R: Since we do not put synthetic emulsifiers in our products our products do need some care. Please keep our your products out of hot cars or freezing luggage.
C: What would be the best product for a split tip that has healed back but is still really thin and soft?
R: Repair cream for sure. Try to massage it a lot to break up the scar tissue.
C: Hi! I have sweaty fingers, but I get these wierd splits under my fingernails if I use dry or performance regularly enough to help with the sweating. They tend to be rather painful and prevent me from climbing on tiny holds. Any tips on how to prevent them?
R: Sometimes I like to spray dry onto a plate and rub my fingers on the plate. It keeps the dry just where it needs the be. Other than that possibly use more repair cream or Spit right before climbing. Keep them hydrated.
