RHINO GUIDE: HOW TO CHOOSE OUR PRODUCTS FOR YOUR SKIN TYPE
Mikey Schaefer"Baby soft, sweaty, high turn over skin."
Mikey is the founder of Mikey's Tip Juice and a user of the Dry Spray.
Mikey sprays the Dry Spray on his hands every day before climbing and applies the Tip Juice to his fingertips a few times a week. How this translates to you: You just can't get on top of your sweaty hands and find yourself chalking every other move. Your hands are usually bright red, warm and wet. Try out the Tip Juice. Spread a thin layer onto your pads but avoid the creases. Do this twice a week while climbing. If this still doesn't do the trick try to supplement with the dry spray. Rhino recommends taking breaks from our products. Dry hands are great but in order for your skin to recover and regenerate properly you need sweat. We recommend that every two weeks you should stop using our products until your hands sweat again. |
Dan Mirsky"Not gifted with great skin. Seepy tips, splits at nail bed and creases. Gets raw fast."
Dan doesn't have great skin but he knows how to take care of it. Before Rhino Dan was a chronic sufferer from splits and thin tips that would grind off from crimps and slopers. Dan uses our full line of products to help himself maintain his skin and climb longer.
Starting off Dan keeps his skin super healthy with the Repair Cream. Using this daily lets his skin recover quickly and keeps inflammation down. Dan applies Repair right after climbing. Next up when Dan has multiple days of climbing in a row he will apply Performance at night before bed. This helps Dans skin stay dry and durable while climbing. If Dan's skin still feels wet or greasy he will apply a few sprays of Dry Spray at the crag. He feels it helps cut the grease and further decrease sweat. What This Means For You. If you have what I would say normal skin and want to last longer on the rock and recover more quickly, use Repair Cream daily. During performance weeks use Performance Cream nightly to maintain dry, durable skin. If you find yourself needing just a bit dryer skin, grab our Dry Spray or Roll on to get that high power dry skin you want. |
Cristina Peterson"Super dry skin. Almost never uses chalk."
Cristina's approach to climbing is eat as many pitches as possible in a day. On-sighting, flashing or second go....pitch after pitch after pitch.
Cristina has what most of us would call a blessing. Hands that don't sweat. But that's not the truth. Dry hands need help too. They have difficulty recovering from a hard day as well as sometimes they don't have enough friction on the rock. Cristina uses Repair cream after climbing and multiple times in the evening. The Repair Cream helps her skin stay pliable which helps increase friction on the rock. The Repair cream also helps to increase skin turn over keeping healthy strong skin on the top instead of dry glassy skin. What This Means For You: If you have dry cracked hands get yourself some repair cream and our split tin. The repair cream will help condition your skin and keep it pliable. The Split Tin will help keep the moisture in your hands, in your hands. |
